7-3 How is relative humidity measured?
SWBAT: Explain relative humidity and how it is measured.
Relative humidity: amount of water vapor in the air compared with the amount of water vapor the air can hold at capacity
Psychrometer - instrument used to find relative humidity
• Temperature changes cause the relative humidity to change.
• A psychrometer is made up of two thermometers, one with a wet bulb and one with a dry bulb.
• The difference in temperature between the wet and dry bulb thermometers is used to find relative humidity by locating the value on a relative humidity chart.
