• Earth can be divided into seven major land biomes.

major biomes.
• Different biomes have different climates, vegetation, and animal life.
• Minor biomes are also recognized. They are the polar ice biome and the chaparral.
• There are also several water life zones such as oceans, lakes, and rivers.
